					<description><![CDATA[I cannot believe that we have lived here nearly eleven months without ever having had someone over for dinner.  I can't believe we have never eaten at our table, until now.  I think I like it.  We might do it again soon.]]></description>
										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My mom always wanted to know what I had for dinner.  Maybe that&#8217;s why I feel so compelled to tell you all the time.  Tonight we did something really special; we invited our friend Janita over and we ate at the table.  I know, I know&#8230;  Wow.</p>

<p>I can&#8217;t believe we actually set the table.  I made this kick ash vegan pasta; which was somehow a mess before I could get a photo&#8230;  We were hungry, alright?</p>

<p>For dessert we were very spoiled!  I made vegan cakes that we cut open and drizzled with Elsa&#8217;s beautiful cherry jam.</p>

		<title>They Call Her The Streak</title>

					<description><![CDATA[I like to think of 351 Crescent House as our little haven.  You know, a safe place where we can wear clothes that don't match, play video games at all hours, and sit reading in a face mask made of blueberries.  Maybe Drew doesn't partake in the blueberry face mask bit, but you get the idea.  The point is that this week, my safe haven went public.  And Saucy McSasspants was born.]]></description>
										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This little pseudo-Londoner has learned a few things.  I&#8217;ve met some saucy British women who have given me the confidence to say what I think in a more direct manner (I am taking baby steps).  They&#8217;ve taught me to say things like, &#8220;that&#8217;s <strong>absolutely</strong> unacceptable&#8221; and &#8220;oh, no <strong>that</strong> won&#8217;t do at all&#8221; with a confident smile.  I&#8217;ve felt a little taller.  I even got a free lunch.</p>
<p>These training sessions have come in handy lately.  Take this week&#8217;s test, for example.</p>
<p>This is the scaffolding a work crew has erected above our flat, apparently to fix a leaky roof issue.<br />

<p>What you can&#8217;t see in these photos is the view said work crew would have into my bedroom and bathroom at the time of day I am most likely to be naked in my flat.</p>
<p>Thank goodness I knew just what to say, and had practiced my sternest tone, when I rang up the Estate Manager.</p>
