Normally, roommates get along well, but if they don`t get along, it`s important to solve problems as soon as they occur.

Take the time to talk to your roommate. If so, there are several resources available to remedy a situation. Resident assistants (RAs) have been trained to assist the roommates. If the roommates` discussion with your roommate is not successful, you should talk to your RA or Area COordinator. When you arrive on campus, your RA will fill out a roommate contract form for you and your roommates. If you are accused of violating the terms of the university`s housing contract and the rules that follow it, you benefit from a formal procedure by the Office of Judicial Affairs or through a disciplinary procedure for the housing contract. If you do not comply with the terms of the agreement described in this contract, the Residence Life Office may terminate your housing contract in accordance with the procedures mentioned in this document and in UWS 17 (Non-Academic Misconduct Disciplinary Procedures). According to the rental agreement, you are a contractor. The termination of your housing status due to a breach of contract is not considered a denial of your right to education. The rules are independent of UWS 17 (Non-Academic Misconduct Disciplinary Procedures) and UWS 18 (Conduct on University Lands) and civil and criminal codes.
