Oh, where to begin…
The sun in London yesterday was enough to distract me from my job search (and the website update “to do†list). I walked to Covent Garden to buy my birthday present from Drew. It’s an awesome way to get exactly what you want – and when you are shopping at Lush and B, the shopping experience is half the fun.
The crowds and street performers alike were out in force.
At Lush, I got a high five(!) and a hug from a new friend after he matched me with a facial cleanser, toner, face mask, and face lotion. At B, I was matched to a tinted moisturizer and finishing powder before we picked out two new make-up brushes. High fives and hugs are not so common at B, but we managed to sneak in a few laughs.
I was close enough to Leicester Square, with only an hour and a half to kill, that I enjoyed a cup of tea (with some light reading) next door to Drew’s office so that we could walk home together. He, Janita, and I ended up at Round House for, well, a round. Drew decided he wanted to see an 8:45 showing of Franklyn, so we moved our party to Thai Square for dinner.
And then there was the movie. I thought I was just too tired and unfamiliar with the premise to fully understand what was happening. I’ll let you decide after you read the review.

I am really glad to hear you are enjoying Jen’s writing. I have always thought she was the better with language, but I am bias. 😉
Hope to see you and the rest of the fam soon!
