Because if I told you what she actually said it wouldn’t have been quite as funny. It would have just been more annoyinger.

Barclays does suck pretty hard and has only gotten worse since all the Patriot Act non-sense went into banking. It took me close to six months to get a working debit card and pin with an already established account.

Sorry to hear you had such a crap experience. 🙁 If it is any consolate, HSBC has an account that you pay for each month (3 or 6 pounds) but is available to ex-pats right away).

Just a thought…em

Once I have a job it will make switching much easier, though, so we are hoping to make the switch at that point.

Thanks so much for reminding me that people I look up to have weathered the very same challenge! We love you very much. It has been video chatting with you! Do Charlie and Ammee have macs, too?

We had trouble once when we’d lived in georgia. Uncle Jim had been to this city once before and had opened an account at a local bank. When he moved, he closed it. We all moved there when Bill was about a month old. I opened us a new account. well, two times I went to the grocery and my checks would clear, most embarassing. Then the man reading the water meter stop and said I’d have to go to theri office with cash to pay. Now I’m MAD. The bank had been depositing our checks to Jim’s old account, and I had called I don’t know how many times. Needless to say, I paid them a visit. Sat myself in front of some poor girl and unvented, Told them to correct then and there or we closed the account and to call the water dept and grocery that it was a bank error, not insufficent funds, OOOOOOOI was _____.

That fixed it, I never did like that placed we lived.
